When I was about to leave for LEP, 6 weeks, I told my little girl, I am
going to India and Swamiji will take care of you. I did not know if she
would understand. Allover sudden her face lit up with a big smile as if
she realized that the 'ONE who never fails' will be taking care of her
while mama is gone. Only 5 years old an ardent devotee of Swamiji. She
will do the entire puja all by herself, all that is required is minimal
supervision. She will sing any Nithyananda bhajan well, any language, she
can do. And she sings like a native to that particular language, though
she has not been to India as yet.
When I was in India my spouse said that our daughter was in so much
pain, in her lower and upper extremities. It was strange because, for
the last 5 years all she would have is occasional common cold. What to
do, I was so far away..I just went to the temple and to Darkishna Murthy
and prayed. And with that I continued with my sadhana in the Ashram. My
spouse took her to a medical clinic...
When I came back, she would just lie down suddenly and start crying
uncontrollably. I did not understand what was happening. To relieve the
pain she had to have someone massage her extremities immediately. I was
shocked because, she is very strong, and can withstand pain...that was
6 weeks before..now something has changed....Somehow I could not pick
up the 'pain vibration' from her...or the suffering...
We took her to the Doctor, she practices both modern and traditional
medicine. We did not need to say much after the lab work report was
presented to her.She read it out, lethargic, pale, and the list went on
and on. And it had everything and anything you do not want in your child
diagnosis. I was surprised, because I have taken care of her since
birth and I had not seen anything like this...not until now.
Here I am coming from LEP filled with so much ecstasy and faced by an
uncertainty about my daughter's life. I was just listening to the
pediatrician who has been working with kids for many years...I just
looked and listened to her...I have been using natural medicine for
over a decade, and only would go to a medical doctor for physical
exam...but never have I seen this kind of situation. The doctor was
freaking out..she was on the phone calling various people, even the
emergency room...
I was just watching the whole situation...until the doctor came and said
that we had two options. To have our daughter hospitalized or take her
to emergency room for 5 hours to have vitamins added to her system via
IV. I looked at her and my mouth opened up and words came out "I will
take care!" I knew these were not my words. And the doctor was shocked.
She asked "How are you going to do it?" I told her to give us natural
supplements and we will follow her instructions. Very reluctantly, she
allowed us to go home and told us to call her every three hours and
report to her. She also said that she would have to make daily house
visits. I agreed and I promised to take our daughter to for emergency
care if needed.
The first thing I did immediately after I got out her office without
even thinking about it, was to pull Swamiji's picture out of my purse,
such a beautiful picture of the Master!. I showed to my daughter. I told
her "Swamiji will take care of you". My daughter's face lit up....and to
be truthful from that point, my daughter's pain vanished completely. As
of today 2 and a half weeks not even a single complaint about pain.
The doctor sent someone first thing next morning. She looked at
my daughter, and said that she could not see anything wrong...she
thought that she was coming to face an emergency situation, she added.
Almost immediately after this incident, my daughter picked up Sri Swatma
Rama's book and she started practicing some yoga posture, in the book,
all by herself. After watching her a few days, I followed suit. Here she
is just sitting in Bhatmasana. For EVERYTHING, I am thankful to
Swamiji. I bow down to our beloved Master's feet. Thank You
